End of the Year SChedules 2008-09

This is the schedule that secondary students will be following the weeks of June 8-12, 15-19, and 22-26, 2009

Please note: Transportation will be provided for students with exams on every Regents exam day.
Students will be given the opportunity to sign up for needed transportation the week before Regents begin.

 

High School
Monday-Friday, June 8-12, 2009
Regular Bell Schedule
Classes without Regents exams will administer local finals using multiple sessions of regular class periods during this time.

Monday, June 15, 2009
Regents Review Schedule (see attached). High School students should only be in the
building if they have a Regents Review scheduled, unless they have made
arrangements to be with a teacher. Those students need to sign in at the main office.
Tuesday, June 16, 2009
Regents begin in the morning, in conjunction with the last round of junior high
finals. Again, only High School students with an exam should be in the building,
unless specific arrangements have been made. Those students must sign in.
Morning of Wednesday, June 24, 2009
Last Regents exams are given.
Thursday, June 25, 2009
Rating Day – no students
Friday, June 26, 2009
Graduation Day – no students
Graduation practice for seniors at 11:00 am
Graduation at 6:00 pm

Junior High


Week of  June 9 through  morning of Monday, June 15, 2009
Regular Schedule
All “specials” classes, including foreign language, will need to give final exams over
multiple periods, if necessary, within the regular schedule during this time.
Monday, June 15, 2009
Regular morning schedule through 4th period. 8th grade. Graduation practice will
take place that morning also
Junior High Final Exams begin 5th period (see attached).
Lunchtime will remain normal. Dismissal will be normal.
Morning of Tuesday, June 16, 2009
Junior High Final Exams continue (see attached), in conjunction with first Regents exam.
No lunch. Dismissal at 10:30, with elementary students.
Wednesday, June 17, 2009
8th grade Graduation at 9:00 am
Monday, June 22nd, 2009
8th graders return to take Foreign Language Proficiency.

Please note that the amount of time allotted for junior high finals on Tuesday
afternoon is slightly shorter than the full two periods allotted on Monday
afternoon, due to the need to dismiss with the elementary students at 10:30.
